SD ZOA Cosponsors Caroline Glick at Book Fair


Caroline Glick, the highly acclaimed columnist for the Jerusalem Post,
will be speaking at the San Diego Jewish Book Fair on
Monday, November 10, 2008, at noon.

She will speak on the subject of her recent book,                       
"Shackled Warrior: Israel and the Global Jihad".

She is an expert on the Israeli and American political scenes
and Israeli defense issues, and will have insights to share with us
on the past week's American elections and the upcoming Israeli
elections.

The event is cosponsored by
San Diego District of the Zionist Organization of America.

Caroline Glick's columns are a favorite of ZOA National President
Morton Klein and of our members.  Therefore, we are
very much pleased and honored to have the opportunity to be a cosponsor.

The event will take place at lunch; Glatt Kosher lunch will be provided
by The Place for those who purchase the tickets in advance.
Rush tickets without lunch will be available at the door.

The location is Lawrence Family JCC, 4126 Executive Dr., La Jolla, CA 92037.

This is a very special event, and I hope you will be able to take the
time in the middle of the day to hear this important speaker.

Our cosponsorship of this event entails our raising some funds
to help cover a portion of the expenses.  The commitment is very
reasonable and we have reserved a ZOA table for up to 10 donors.
If you plan to donate, you should also buy your ticket for the event
separately from the JCC Box Office.  Please support us with your
presence and make a tax-deductible donation to San Diego District ZOA
for the event.

Also of interest to ZOA members is the lecture by Prof. Ruth Wisse of
Harvard on her book "Jews and Power", Sunday Nov 9 at 9:30am (no charge
but a ticket is required).

Tickets are for sale for the San Diego Jewish Book Fair lectures at the
JCC Box Office, which is open Mon-Fri 12-5, and before events,
on location or by phone at (858)362-1348 or (858)362-1365.
Because of the large number of Jewish Book Fair lectures over
the next few days, the box office will be open extended hours.
